Readymade WordPress Websites
Method 1: How to Import a .wpress File via WordPress Dashboard (Step-by-Step)
This simple method lets you install a readymade WordPress website directly from the dashboard using the All-in-One WP Migration plugin. Even complete beginners can follow this guide and restore their full website within minutes.
1
Before You Begin
Make sure your setup is ready for the import.
To import a readymade WordPress website using a .wpress file, you need the following:
✓
A fresh WordPress installation
✓
Administrator login access
✓
All-in-One WP Migration plugin installed
✓
Unlimited Extension installed (if your file is large)
If you are installing a SiteCrafted readymade website, the .wpress file contains everything needed: pages, plugins, child theme, content, settings, and design.
2
Step 1 — Login to WordPress Dashboard
Start by accessing your admin panel.
Open your WordPress admin panel:
yourwebsite.com/wp-admin
Enter your username and password to log in.
3
Step 2 — Install the All-in-One WP Migration Plugin
The plugin required for importing .wpress files.
Go to:
- Plugins → Add New
- Search for: All-in-One WP Migration
- Click Install and then Activate
Once activated, a new menu item will appear on your sidebar.

Step 3 — Install the Unlimited Extension (If Needed)
Required for large readymade website files.
If your .wpress file is bigger than your hosting upload limit (128 MB, 256 MB, or 512 MB), install the Unlimited Extension plugin:
- Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
- Upload the Unlimited Extension ZIP
- Install and Activate
5
Step 4 — Start the Import Process
Import your .wpress file directly from dashboard.
Follow the steps below:
- Go to All-in-One WP Migration → Import
- Click Import From → File
- Select your .wpress file from your computer
- Wait for the upload to reach 100%
Depending on your hosting server speed, the import may take 1–10 minutes.
6
Step 5 — Confirm the Overwrite
The importer will replace your current WordPress data.
You will see a message saying:
“This action will overwrite your website. Do you want to continue?”
Click Proceed.
This is completely safe, as this method requires a fresh WordPress install before importing.
7
Step 6 — Re-login to Your Website
Your admin credentials change after import.
After the import finishes, the system will ask you to login again.
Use the admin username and password that belonged to the imported website (the readymade site), not your previous login.
8
Step 7 — Save Permalinks
Final step to ensure all pages work properly.
Go to:
- Settings → Permalinks
- Click Save (don’t change anything)
This refreshes your permalink structure to avoid 404 errors.
